In Ojai, you know your farmer!
Ojai is such a friendly little mountain town and it seems like everyone knows each other and that everyone knows their farmer. The Farmers market is not big at all, but it’s really good, organic and of course as local as it gets.
Pistachios with all kinds of flavors from a farm nearby, and he claims that they are the only ones who makes pistachio oil and flour. The oil was tasty and great for salads and the flour is the pulp they get from making the cold pressed oil, that they dry. Great for smoothies or baking.
Wild hibiscus flowers! Homemade hibiscus tea, anyone?
